June Wedding at Calderfields, Walsall by Walsall Wedding Photographers Barry James
Today saw the welcome return of son Stephen who joined me to bring his candid approach to photography to this special day for Mandy and Daniel at the lovely Calderfields Golf & Country Club. The clouds were starting to gather as we recorded the arrival of Dan and his groomsmen, all looking rather smart in their suits from Dapper Dan. As we waited for the bridesmaids to arrive it began to rain, and then more rain, so much so the car park soon resembled a lake – with the help of Chris from Special Occasion Cars and a few umbrellas the girls managed to get into the ceremony room almost Dry. Our bride soon followed in a rolls Royce from Finishing Touch, again with a multitude of brollies Mandy looking a picture in her dress from Simone Bridal was delivered safely to her ceremony. All this time protected by our brolly Stephen continued to record the events as they unfolded. During the wedding ceremony the rain thankfully ceased and we were able to continue with our planned coverage. The chauffeurs and their vehicles remained for photos after the ceremony which meant not only could the couple have their photos with the fabulous cars but we could also re-enact the arrivals. It was then in the special wedding buggy for the short journey to Lakeside for the personal portraits of today’s couple. Group photos on the terrace followed by photos inside the main “marquee style” room completed our coverage for Mandy & Dan.
