The Moat House | Lyndsey + Dan
Staffordshire Wedding Photography at The Moat House | Barry James
Lyndsey and Dan chose a Disney theme for their wedding day at The Moat House, Acton Trussell, Staffordshire. The Acton suite looked absolutely fabulous, styled by Design Elegance, complete with starlit backdrops covering the length of the room and five foot high “LOVE” letters.
My day started with Lyndsey as she went through her final preparations helped by her very attentive bridesmaids, Michelle Langford of “The Perfect Make Up” and her hair stylist SallyLogue of Sutton Coldfield. Her gorgeous gown from Rebecca Jayne at Mix’n’Match hung elegantly from a personalised hanger awaiting the moment that Lyndsey stepped into it.
Then it was off to meet Dan and the guys, dressed perfectly for the occasion in suits from Dapper Dan of Wednesfield. It wasn’t long before the couple, in the company of their family and friends became husband and wife, a really emotional moment for the two of them.
After the ceremony and a few important family photographs the couple joined with me for an intended tour of the grounds for their personal portraits, the resident Swan, protecting his partner, who was nesting had other ideas. Such is the variety of surroundings at this fabulous venue we were able to find many alternative spots…all under the watchful eye of the swan.
A final full group shot on the canal terrace, with traditional confetti and bouquet throwing, provided along with all of todays flowers by Andrew Jennings of Kings Heath Park, and it was then a return to the Acton suite for the wedding breakfast. The wonderful table plan, as with all other stationery items for the day, designed by the very talented R.P.S. Designs guided everyone to their tables.
An evening return accompanied by Stephen to record the couples cake cutting, first dance and evening portraits with the famous fully illuminated Oak tree completed our coverage for a really lovely couple.
