St Johns Church + Sandon Hall | Rachel + Dan

I first met Rachel and Dan just over 2 years ago, when they booked me to capture their wedding day and I have had great pleasure in seeing them,particularly Rachel over time and sharing their plans for this…their special day.
Anyone who has been fortunate enough to be in anyway part of the day with this lovely couple cannot fail to see the amount of love,care and thought they have put in to make it just that…special..

It was early doors for Stephen and myself today,starting with Rachel’s “bridal preps” at the quaint and lovely Netherstowe House,where she and the girls had stayed the night before,followed by an elegant “champagne breakfast”
Time flies,it was soon time for us to leave for St John the Baptist at Armitage, where we were met Dan and the guys looking utterly dashing in their suits from Kevin Paul
Rachel arrived in style transported in the fabulous Rolls Royce from Aarons  Cars.
She looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Rebecca Jayne from Mix’n’Match
Unfortunately the resident vicar was unable to conduct the ceremony due to ill health, but bless-him, he was at church to wish the couple well..and his “stand in”..father Jeffrey,brought in from retirement gave an absolutely unforgettable ceremony. After the ceremony a few family photos were taken outside church before we all headed off to Sandon Hall for the ensuing celebrations.
The hall looked absolutely fabulous with floral decorations from Fine Flowers and table covers fromDesign Elegance..and a wonderful creation…the wedding cake from Amerton Cakes and Sweets taking centre stage.
The happy couple joined us for photos in the fantastic grounds and then on to the many exquisite rooms of this elegant venue.
It was then on to the very amusing and thoughtful speeches through to first dance…a first dance made particularly special as the grooms Brother played piano,guitar and sang for them…and he had his trademark“flowing locks” cut short,just for them….

A very long but infinitely enjoyable day…
