St Michaels Church + Calderfields
Summer Wedding Story by Pelsall Wedding Photographers Barry James
All through our involvement in the build up to the wedding of Rhiane and Mike, it was easy to see how much it meant to them and how important it was to them that all of their family, friends and guests had a wonderful experience – such a thoughtful couple.
So to the day itself. It all started for me with Rhiane and her bridesmaids covering the bridal preparations up to final portraits of the bride and her girls just before they all left to start their exciting day.
It was then down to St Michael’s to meet up with Mike and the guys for their pre wedding session – very dapper too in their perfectly fitting suits from Duncan James.
The bridesmaids were soon on the scene arriving in style in a vintage two tone grey Daimler from Special Day Services. Following behind in a matching limousine was the bride bravely escorted by Mike’s Granddad, the family know why I say brave. She stepped from the car looking “picture perfect” in her personalised gown from Jeneve of Bloxwich.
A walk down the aisle saw her at Mike’s side ready to say “I do”. After a joyous ceremony, the couple joined me with their family and friends for special group shots to commemorate the day.
It was then off to the very versatile venue that is Calderfields for the couple’s celebrations. A trip in the wedding buggy to Lakeside presented us with the perfect backdrop for Rhiane and Mike’s personal portraits. Photos in the “marquee” style reception room and speeches preceded the meal.
An evening return for ice cream from the ” vintage tricycle” from Sticky Fingers and special images from the couple’s first dance completed a memorable day for both my wife and myself. Thank you Rhiane and Mike.
