Cheryl + Stewart | The Moat House, Acton Trussell

When Stewart asked us to cover his wedding we were privileged, he ran Krystal Klear videography for many years and from all the photographers he had worked with he chose Barry James, indeed an honour. it’s always a bit special when someone from the wedding trade entrusts their day to you. Even better was to come, when we met his bride Cheryl – turns out I’d known the family for years and indeed shared many a glass with Cheryl’s late grandfather – Derek Hateley.
Stewarts planning was meticulous even down to the time of the wedding – 1 o’clock so their wedding was 10, 11, 12, 13 very clever!
The day itself was a dream for Stephen and myself to photograph from Cheryl’s preparations including bright red Doc Martins! and seasonal flowers from Pat Cooper right through to the evening with a superb Robbie Williams tribute from Scott Jordan – Ultimate Robbie. The ceremony was in the wonderful Colin Lewis Suite at The Moat House suitably dressed by Design Elegance, the wedding breakfast was served in the Acton Suite along with a veritable tower of a cake from Carole Gregory and a cheese mountain from Wycherleys. Then the biggest surprise of the day…the guests were led by Stewart and Cheryl on a candlelit procession to St James Church for a wedding blessing – truly magical.
