Our style of wedding photography brings together the best of relaxed contemporary photography, candid photography to tell your story, being creative with posing, style and lighting throughout.

At Barry James we believe it’s you, the Bride & Groom who should be centre of attention on your wedding day – not the photographer. 

It is our job to capture the very essence of the day to provide an album full of memories of people, a little family history, moments of fun, happiness and emotion and the all important detail of the day, with plenty of natural relaxed images of the bride & groom as the story of your special day unfolds.  Above all throughout our meetings prior to the day we listen to you, exchange ideas so that we can provide the perfect coverage for you. 

We were trained a number of years ago in the Classical art of Wedding Photography, when before digital every shot mattered and we still pay attention to the elements that make for a good photograph – lighting, background, composition and above all expression, but the age of digital photography has given us freedom to ensure everything that makes your day unique & special is there for all to see.  This knowledge means we are one of the few that are fortunate enough to be able to combine many aspects of photography for you to treasure lifelong – contemporary, candid and with just the merest hint of retro classical in a wonderful blend of natural colours and timeless monochrome black & white images – truly magical.
