Emily + Michael | Moat House, Acton Trussell
A 3pm ceremony for Emily & Michael at The Moat House with sunset just before 4pm on this the eve of the shortest day was always going to be a challenge! Stuart James joined me today to add his “twilight” expertise to the proceedings, we had just enough light to complete the groups outdoors then the light dropped like a stone – so back inside? NO – time to get creative! As ever the Acton suite looked splendid, dressed by Design Elegance with floral contributions from Lavender Florist. Emily, wearing a wonderful gown from Bridal Couture by Josephine of Cheadle joined Michael, who was sporting a Duncan James outfit. She walked along the red carpet accompanied by the very tuneful harp of Rita Schindler, her hair and make up styled by Jackie Shore added the final touch. Once back inside, before our contribution to their day came to a close, a gorgeous cake from Amerton Cakes provided a fitting end set of photos for this short but beautiful coverage.
A few words about the day
The timing of today’s wedding, coupled with the cold and wind would have made many a bride settle for cosy photos in the comfort and warmth available indoors. Hats off to Emily & Michael who braved the elements………….their reward? An unforgettable set of “special” photographs. My thanks go to Stuart James for his contribution to the day.
