St Bartholomews Penn + The Moat House, Acton Trussell | Emma + James
The forecast for today was rain, wind, rain, wind and more rain so any outdoor shots would be a bonus. We were fortunate enough to be able to capture all the church arrivals and a few groups after the ceremony before the elements took control. Thankfully the reception was at The Moat House which has many indoor locations for us to use.
St Bartholomews Penn Wedding Photographer
When we saw the forecast for today we were really glad that we would be working at The Moat House with its many and varied indoor photographic opportunities, an absolute blessing on such a wet and windy day. The day started for Stephen and myself at the couples house capturing the final preparations of our bride Emma and her bridesmaids, no long faces due to the rain, everyone was intent on enjoying themselves and celebrating the wedding.
The rain eased as we approached St Bartholomews and we were able to capture the groomsmen’s arrivals in their super suits from Peter Posh. It wasn’t long before Emma and her bridesmaids were on the scene and again we were able to get a few outdoor shots. Emma sensibly waited to arrange here beautiful gown from The Dressing Rooms (Halesowen) until she was in the Church Porch.
After the ceremony we were able to photograph a few small groups outside church before the wind became gale force with the rain coming in at 90 degrees – let’s go to The Moat House
The Acton Suite awaited the bride and groom and looked exquisite as usual dressed by Design Elegance.
Stephen and myself used every conceivable indoor location to complete the daytime coverage.
An evening return for cake cutting and first dance with a few cheeky portraits by the twinkly tree brought our day with Emma and James to a close.
